By connecting Xero to Layer, you can sync your Profit and Loss statements with your Google Sheets, ensuring your historical financial and HR information is always up-to-date.

How to connect the Xero integration?

To start using the Xero integration, you'll first need to connect it to Layer:

  1. Open your Google Sheet and launch the Layer add-on.

  2. Navigate to the "Integrations" tab.

  3. Locate the Xero integration and click the "Connect" button next to it.

  4. You will be redirected to the integration connection page. Toggle the switch and click "Authorize".

  5. Xero will ask you to authorize the connection. Click "Allow access".

  6. You will be sent back to the integration connection page. Under "Tenants", select your Xero organization. Then, click "Save".

  7. You will receive a message indicating that the connection is ready and be redirected back to Google Sheets and Layer.

Note: If the integration was connected successfully, you will see a green "Connected" label displayed next to it.

How to import Xero data into Google Sheets?

Once you've connected the Xero integration, you can start using it to easily import your P&L statements into Google Sheets. All you have to do is:

  1. Navigate to the "Integrations" tab.

  2. Click the "Import Data" button shown below the Xero integration.

  3. Select the P&L statement to import.

  4. Click "Import". This will create a new sheet with your Xero data.
